Unused since it was red-tagged in 1991 due to an electrical fire, the Historic Royal Theater is being renovated into a functional theater and performing arts center.  In 2022, through nearly $10M in funds grated by the EDA and the State of California, the City of Guadalupe commenced the renovation project.
