The Guadalupe Community Action Coalition (GCAC) is a Non-Profit Organization that is specifically designed to seek funding to expand services and program activities for the residents of Guadalupe. Services may include, but not limited to, educational and arts programs, children activities, youth, adult, senior services, and employment and training programs. The GCAC mission is “to promote the wellbeing of the community of Guadalupe, in coordination with the City of Guadalupe, with a focus on community needs and economic development”.
The GCAC is currently seeking to increase its capacity by adding two new members to its current board of five. If you are community-minded and have a desire to improve the quality of life for the residents of Guadalupe, we strongly encourage you to considering joining the GCAC Board. A desirable candidate is someone who has extensive experience with non-profit or community-based organizations, is familiar with the fundamentals of developing a grant application, and is passionate about helping our community prosper. The board currently meets on the second Thursday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
If interested we welcome you to send a message via email to David Trujillo, City Administrator, at dtrujillo@ci.guadalupe.ca.us.
An Update on the Royal Theater Renovation Project
The Guadalupe Community Action Coalition (GCAC) is proud to have served as the fiscal sponsor for the City’s Royal Theater Renovation Project.
As the renovation project is currently on hold, we want to express our sincere gratitude to every donor, volunteer, and community member who supported this vision. We especially want to commend the dedicated volunteers who poured their hearts into every aspect of this effort.
We will be working closely with the Royal Theater Capital Campaign volunteers to process donation reimbursements as quickly as possible and return funds to our generous donors.
Looking Ahead for the GCAC
Our commitment to honoring Guadalupe and fostering a vibrant community remains as strong as ever. We remain dedicated to supporting impactful local initiatives such as city beautification and maintaining spaces like the Jack O’Connell Park baseball field with the long-term goal of building and supporting new programs and projects focused on youth development, civic engagement, and community connection.
However, due to the reduction in expected funding from our fiscal sponsorship tied to the Royal Theater renovation, GCAC is currently re-evaluating our strategic plan to ensure our existing resources can sustain our foundation and support future development.
We are fully committed to this process and confident we will find a strong path forward.
Stay tuned!
Thank you for your ongoing support, patience, and passion for the City of Guadalupe. If you are interested in helping shape the future of GCAC as a volunteer or board member, please contact us at information@guadalupecac.org.
