The Guadalupe Community Action Coalition (GCAC) is a Non-Profit Organization that is specifically designed to seek funding to expand services and program activities for the residents of Guadalupe. Services may include, but not limited to, educational and arts programs, children activities, youth, adult, senior services, and employment and training programs. The GCAC mission is “to promote the wellbeing of the community of Guadalupe, in coordination with the City of Guadalupe, with a focus on community needs and economic development”.
The GCAC is currently seeking to increase its capacity by adding two new members to its current board of five. If you are community-minded and have a desire to improve the quality of life for the residents of Guadalupe, we strongly encourage you to considering joining the GCAC Board. A desirable candidate is someone who has extensive experience with non-profit or community-based organizations, is familiar with the fundamentals of developing a grant application, and is passionate about helping our community prosper. The board currently meets on the second Thursday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
If interested we welcome you to send a message via email to Todd Bodem, City Manager, at tbodem@ci.guadalupe.ca.us.
